The staff at Dewitt's automotive are always very professional and polite. They perform quality automotive repair and maintenance. I've used Dewitt's ever since they opened many years ago. I would highly recommend them to anyone that is needing automotive repair and or maintenance.

Took my car in for an oil change and inspection last Friday. Was told my headlight assemblies didn't pass and was quoted approximately $800 for parts and labor... Stating that the front bumper would have to be removed to replace the headlights...I did my research because that didn't sit right in my spirit, and I ended up getting the parts myself and put them on and it took 25 minutes and $69...it passed today, no problem and I gave them a chance to explain, but it was BS. I hate giving bad reviews, but I feel they tried to take advantage of me, maybe because I'm a woman, or maybe because of my Trump sticker on my car, or maybe that's just their norm. Regardless, it breaks my heart because I always try to go to local shops and give them my money instead of big businesses, and as a single mom, I can use all the help I can get! (Couldn't we all nowadays?!) The only reason they got two stars is because of awesome Briar, the young lady at the front desk: she is great!! I just think Leonard (who carries his little dog everywhere he goes in the shop) needs to put the dog down and find him another job and Dewitt's need an accurate, honest service writer. See less

UPDATE: my dad went the same day and IRONICALLY was told his newer truck also didn't pass because, get this, his FLOOD LIGHT ASSEMBLY needed to be replaced! ($500)...My father is 86 years young, they're not only do you take advantage of women, but also of the elderly... YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELVES! I'm going to BBB next and State Police.

Ran into a shifter linkage issue. Called ahead to see if they could look at it and they said "come on by". Within 20 mins and $31 later I was back on the road. Hard to find that kind of concern and care for their customers. Thank you DeWhitts.

Took my suv in to put tires on & align it they told me the adjustment bolts were all frozen and had to be cut off and would damage the suspension arms doing the work, so all a-arms front & rear would have to be replaced at a cost of $5000 I came home spayed $2.00 worth of pb blaster on them and had them all loose in 20 minutes with a normal 1/2 inch breaker bar & 19mm socket (by the way there was no rust on them) Im not going to say don't go there but if you get an estimate that seems high do yourself a favor and get a second opinion

Easy to convey the problems we had with our truck all employees were super friendly to deal with quick reply to the needed repairs, easy to understand serviced performed was within 48 hours repairs done were explained throughly owner took time to explain the needed work.

The staff is ALWAYS so friendly, and always get me in as soon as they’re able to. So grateful to have somewhere so honest and open that’s local!

The best customer service & fast service!!!

Took my car in for an alignment because it was pulling to the right. After $220 later it still is pulling to the right. I am highly disappointed in my visit today. They also charged me $18 for shop supplies and it was a labor only repair. I can no longer recommend Dewitts Auto Center to my friends and family.

We only bring our cars here. The service is great, costs competitive, and great staff. we don't go anywhere else anymore.

I made an appointment for a state inspection and to have a burning smell checked out. They had my vehicle in and out and the problem identified in less than an hour. Service is always friendly and prompt.

Everything. The customer service is awesome and the techs are great. They try to save you money in every way and they do not replace parts just because like some businesses do.

They are my go-to choice especially for my older vehicles. They tell me what is a "must" for safety and what can wait a bit, in plain language. Never had a problem here.

I've been taking my Toyota to DeWitts for inspection for the past couple of years. I recently also took it in for them to do my brakes. They are always very respectful, the office staff is amazing, they keep you updated in the progress, and timely. For this single mom it's a win win. I won't take my car anywhere else. Dewitt's Automotive is an excellent business, they treat you with respect and are always willing to assist you in any manner possible! Any time I call or go in, they always have a smile and a willing attitude to serving you. I have been doing business with them for over 15 years and the service has been the same. We have be using DeWitt's Automotive since the early 90's. I would hate having to search for a new mechanic. It would be like looking for a new doctor or dentist. The people at DeWitt's are friendly, they know their business, customers and their vehicles. They take time to explain problems with you and explain options. I highly recommend DeWitt's Automotive for your tires, brakes, shocks, oil changes, and those annoying engine lights. Oh, and it has the cleanest garage floor I have ever been in! See less

*** RIP OFF ALERT ** This place WILL screw you, to your face. They consistently LIE about parts your car "needs" to either pass inspection, or be "allowed" to leave their "garage," then charge exorbitant fees, to "fix" the matter. Meanwhile, when you check at the dealer- even several, such as I just have, and guess what? Parts are perfect. They bilked me once, before I did some investigating. This place is completely untrustworthy. Secondly, I am unsure how the "mechanics" ever even passed an A.S.E. course. They do not know what they are doing. Even a simple procedure like tightening a nut to the proper torque escapes them- I guess they found the "certified" patches on eBay. Unbelievable. Time to contact the local news about this operation.
